more pillowcase dresses!

I went to the flea market last saturday and found some more linens!!! I didn't need any but I couldn't resist. Now I need abut 10 more hours in the day the do some creative thinking. Some of the linens have the very wide edging that I love and I need more ideas how to use them. I like them just peeking out the bottom and I think they would make fancy bodices too. Life is busy right now and I want to make sure I still have some Lola time once in a while to do what I love best - - SEW!!

Pillowcase Apron Dress

I am excited to have 2 outfits made using the vintage linens I found!

I love the crisp look of the white against the dark blue print. I tried the pilllow cases in 2 different ways. On the size 5 above,I left the apron in one piece and put double shoulder straps. I also put a generous sash to tie in back. I love the blue cross stitch on the apron. There are 3 little flower buttons closing the dress in back and the dress can be worn with or without the apron. This dress has a very full wide ruffle on the bottom of the skirt.

The size 4 dress above also has a lace collar, but the pillowcase apron is made in a different way. I split the case to allow the cute blue print to show on the sides. Both dresses have puff sleeves drawn up with narrow ribbon and have a ribbon bow at the neck.

More Cute Grandaughters!

Here are a few more pictures of the skirts I have been making for my grandaughters. I wish they all lived closer so I could use them as my models for my Etsy Shop. I have finished 2 new pillowcase dresses, so I will be getting some pictures up for you all to see!

Pillowcase Inspiration

In August I went to the Aurora Colony Days where the streets are filled with Antiques. There was a lady who had tables full of the most beautiful linens. I wanted them all, but I chose a few that I think will be fun to use as I am making fall and winter dresses. I found out that she sells them the first Saturday of each month after she has shopped estate sales, so I'll be adding to my collection soon!

I'm thinking of making Apron or Jumper dresses using these gorgeous pillowcases. If you have any ideas let me know!

Etsy dresses

I just thought I would show you some of the dresses that I have put up for sale on Etsy.com
Miley, Addison, and Peyton were such good sports for trying on and posing for all of those pictures! Thanks girls for all of the help.

Welcome

I'm so excited! I have found a source for vintage linens and I can't wait to start creating some little girl dresses and outfits. I espically love the dainty crochet edges. they will be perfect over small prints.
Come and check out my new ETSY sight www.meadowsofclover.etsy.com .
It is a work in progress now, but I hope to have many more items up soon. Sharron is helping me out so between work, Lucas, and a crazy household, we're getting it done.

Cute Granddaughters

Here are some swishy skirts with tulle popping out the bottom.
I loved trying out these Pillowcase dresses. They sure are popular.

Thanks To Hallie and Madilyn for modeling some summer dresses and skirts. They look so cute and grown up. Now I can't decide whether to concentrate on vintage or modern. I just need more hours in the day to do it all.
